THE BEST MOCHI DONUTS

Authentically Crafted

Isabella’s was founded in 2016 by David & Cecilia Noon.

David and Cecilia named their boutique restaurant after their daughter, Isabella. The couple met in Japan, where Cecilia spent most of her life, and David relocated back to Canada with his new family in 2015 after nearly a decade abroad.
In just three years, Isabella’s Boutique Restaurant garnered numerous accolades, including being named Yelp’s #1 “Worth the Wait” restaurant in Toronto and one of BlogTO’s Top 5 Brunch Spots, with a feature in Toronto Life Magazine’s holiday gift guide.
By 2019, their cozy 20-seat spot had outgrown its space, prompting a move to a larger 60-seat location to reduce wait times. However, the pandemic forced them to pivot. Cecilia’s stunning dishes, designed for in-restaurant dining, didn’t translate well to take-out. Facing tough decisions, they focused on their fan-favourite mochi donuts, introduced in 2017 but previously limited due to the menu’s diversity.
The shift proved heartwarming, as delighted customers shared glowing feedback and smiles when picking up the donuts. Today, David and Cecilia continue to feel immense gratitude for the joy their creations bring to the community.
