Isabella’s was founded in 2016 by David & Cecilia Noon.

They named their business  (a Boutique restaurant) after their daughter Isabella. David met Cecilia while living in Japan. He moved back to Canada with his new family in 2015 after spending nearly a decade there. Cecilia spent the majority of her life living in Japan.

In less than 3 years Isabella’s Boutique Restaurant was awarded the #1 worth the wait restaurant in Toronto by Yelp, Top 5 Brunch restaurants in Toronto by BlogTO and many more extraordinary accolades, one of which was being featured in Toronto Life Magazine holiday gift guide. 

After 3 years (in 2019) they had outgrown their lovely petite 20 seat restaurant and decided to move to a bigger location to try and reduce wait times for guests in line. Everything was going great at their new 60 seat restaurant until the pandemic arrived and they were forced to shut down. The astonishing beautiful dishes that Cecilia had created and had been making for guests since 2016 were not created with the intention of take-out. Part of the magic at Isabella’s Boutique Restaurant was that guests were just as pleased with the overall experience as much as they were with the food. The couple had to make a decision quickly to ensure the survival of their small family business. The choice was a hard one but they cut 90% of the menu and put the focus on the ever-so-popular Isabella’s Mochi donuts.  They had been making the donuts since 2017 but could only produce a limited quantity every day due to the overwhelming demand for the other popular items on the menu. In the scary times, it brought them extreme jubilation to see customers with such big smiles when they picked up their mochi donuts. As well as receiving heartwarming feedback through social media and online reviews. They continue to feel the love every week and feel fortunate and happy that they can continue to bring people joy every day.
